The Schedule for the Day will be as follows: 1.Registration 2. 9:00-10:35 Opening Plenary Session – This will introduce the conference’s main theme and topic and provide students with some educational context to begin the process of planning related actions and educating others in their schools and communities on this topic. 3. 10:45-12:10 (lunch) & 12:45-1:25 Circuit Sessions – Students will rotate through three different sessions before and after lunch, that provide practical skills that they can use to implement a project of their own when they return to school. While the students are at their creative workshops, teachers will participate in a Teacher’s Stream session to provide them with an opportunity to share stories and swap ideas they can use in their classrooms. MCIC will provide information & resources, as well. 5. 2:50-3:15 Closing Plenary Session – This is meant to provide a conclusion for the day, as well as a “springboard” for follow-up once the students return to school. If your child is interested, please have them connect with a teacher on staff who teaches Grade 7-12 or Mrs.Collette. We currently have open spaces left. This is an excellent local leadership opportunity.
